This is the website of Brandvis.com, which is owned by Brandvis R&D Limited. Brandvis® is made up of Brandvis Group Holdings Limited, Brandvis Software Limited, Brandvis Limited, Brandvis R&D Limited, and Brandvis (Suzhou) Co. Limited (referred to herein as “Brandvis”, “we”, “our”, “us”).

We have created this privacy policy to demonstrate our commitment to respecting the privacy and security of your personal information.

The following statement explains our policy regarding the personal information we collect about you.

1.       Introduction

This policy covers Brandvis use of personal information that Brandvis collects when you use Brandvis.com. From time to time, you will be asked to submit personal information about yourself (e.g. name and email address) in order to receive or use services on Brandvis.com. Such services include access to review our products, newsletters, competitions. By entering your details in the fields requested, you enable Brandvis and our service providers to provide you with the services you select. Whenever you provide such personal information, Brandvis will treat that information in accordance with this policy. When using your personal information Brandvis will act in accordance with current legislation and aim to meet current Internet best practice.

2.       Use and storage of your personal information

When you supply any personal information to Brandvis.com (e.g. for competitions, Brandvis.com or Brandvis.com registration) Brandvis has legal obligations towards you in the way Brandvis uses this data. Brandvis must collect the information fairly, that is, Brandvis must explain how it will use it (see the notices on particular webpages that let you know why we are requesting the information) and tell you if we want to pass the information on to anyone else. In general, any information you provide to Brandvis will only be used within Brandvis and by its agents and service providers. Your information will be disclosed where we are obliged or permitted by law. Also, if you post or send offensive, inappropriate or objectionable content anywhere on or to Brandvis.com or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour on Brandvis.com, Brandvis can use whatever information that is available to it about you to stop such behaviour. This may involve informing relevant third parties such as your employer, school e-mail/Internet provider and law enforcement agencies about the content and your behaviour. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as you use the service you have requested, and remove it in the event that the purpose has been met, or, in the case of Brandvis.com registration you no longer wish to continue your registration as a Brandvis.com registered user. If you are notified on a Brandvis.com site that your information may be used to allow Brandvis to contact you for “service administration purposes”, this means that Brandvis may contact you for a number of purposes related to the service you have signed up for. For example, we may wish to provide you with password reminders or notify you that the particular service has been suspended for maintenance. We will not contact you for promotional purposes, such as notifying you of improvements to the service or new services on Brandvis.com unless you specifically agree to be contacted for such purposes at the time you submit your information on the site, or at a later time if you sign up specifically to receive such promotional information.

3.       Disclosure of personal data to outside parties

We do not sell, trade, share or distribute your personal data to outside parties other than to Brandvis companies and third party processors who shall have privacy policies in place containing policies no less strict than those contained herein and who are not permitted to use your personal data for marketing purposes (without your written permission).

4.       Access to your personal information

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information Brandvis holds about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected.

5.       Security

We use a variety of security measures in order to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Regardless of these efforts, we cannot guarantee that the data transmitted by you to Brandvis over the internet will be 100% secure and any data, which you may transfer to Brandvis, is therefore done at your own risk.

6.       Cookies and Web Beacons

Brandvis may use cookies and web beacons.

A cookie is a small piece of text that Brandvis.com sends to your computer while you are browsing Brandvis.com, and allows us to identify you on your return.  Cookies include information that identifies a Brandvis.com user (for example), in terms of login or username, preferences (i.e. country and language choices) etc. 

We use cookies and web beacons to enable us to provide services to our customers and to make constant improvements to Brandvis.com. Information gathered may be used in order to monitor traffic on Brandvis.com so that we can manage the capacity and efficiency of Brandvis.com, to identify trends and to obtain statistics.
