Fabrics and Components

The companies that supply Brandvis™ components are well established leaders in their respective fields. Ongoing research and attention to quality ensure that Brandvis™ are receiving the best products out there. Each one of our components has been carefully researched, tested and chosen for their quality, durability and strength.
 

 Fabrics

  • Polyester Oxford
    This is a durable and heavy duty fabric weighing approximately 195g/m² with a PU coating. The fabric is seam sealed with waterproof tape making it both waterproof and wind resistant and is available in our standard 21 colours. Each colour has been tested and certified for durability, breathability and water resistance to both EN471Class 1;2;3 and EN343 Class 3;1 standards.

  • Brandvis Microfibre
    This fabric is extremely light and strong, weighing approximately 150g/m². Brandvis Microfibre is constructed using tiny micro fibres woven tightly together giving a natural water resistance to the fabric. A high grade TPU membrane is laminated to the face fabric to further waterproof and enhance the breathability. Designed to keep liquid water out while allowing your own moisture vapour to escape, your body stays dry, and your body heat regulated. All 21 colours are available and have been tested to comply with EN471Class 1;2;3 and EN343 Class 3;3.

  • Brandvis Double Fleece
    This 3 ply fabric is constructed by laminating the TPU membrane between the facing polar fleece fabric and another polar fleece backing. Weighing in at approximately 350g/m², the resulting laminated fabric has the appearance of a single layer of dense fleece fabric. Wind and water resistant, it is durable and suitable for most dry & chilly weather conditions. This jacket is also very breathable and can be worn comfortably both indoors and outdoors making it a versatile option for work, sport and leisure. All 21 colours are available and have been tested to comply with EN343 Class 3;2.

  • Brandvis Soft Shell
    This 3 ply Soft Shell is constructed by laminating the TPU membrane between the facing microfibre fabric and another polar fleece backing. The resulting laminated fabric has the warmth of a polar fleece with the added durability of a microfibre face which acts like a water repellant finish on the face of the garment because the fibres are so tiny. Weighing in at approx. 370g/m², the result is a durable and sleek fabric, insulative, water resistant and suitable for most dry chilly weather conditions. As always all 21 colours are available and have been tested to comply with EN343 Class 3;2.

3M Thinsulate lining

  • More people recognize the 3M Thinsulate insulation name than any other brand.

  • We use the highest grade (120G) lightweight interior padding with a breathable outer lining.

3M Scotchlite 50 mm retro-reflective tape

  • 3M are famous for their high quality products.

  • Their reflective tape is both highly visible and durable keeping you safe and seen at all times.

Scovill claps

  • Scovill is one of the world's oldest and largest manufacturers of apparel and light industrial fasteners.

  • We use a heavy duty clasp with superior holding strength.

 YKK zips

  • We use a strong resin zip with a metal slider from one of the worlds most reliable zip manufacturers.
